My little extra is treating each patient as if they were my own. I talk to each child about their illness and let them tell me, under their parent's supervision, what exactly is bothering them. Also, we are a small community and it feels so nice to acknowledge patients and to be acknowledged back by them. I always have a hello for my patients whether at work or outside in the community.
