“ I like to give out little noisemaker light-up keychains, small animals, unicorns, taxis, and cameras to new staff to make them feel welcome on our unit and part of our team. They use them to distract the kids when taking vital signs or doing challenging tasks. It is just a little magic from a seasoned pediatric nurse.”
