Technologically Advanced Diagnostic Radiology Imaging
X-rays are important tools in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of medical conditions. At West Jefferson Medical Center, our experienced radiologists provide some of the best care in the region using advanced technology and state-of-the-art devices.
After you undergo an exam, your doctor will study images that are captured by digital diagnostic radiology (DR) imaging. Our DR equipment offers dual-energy chest exams for anyone age 50 and older.
Dual-energy subtraction imaging allows better visualization of a variety of entities, including:
- Nodules
- Bone lesions
- Vascular disease
- Pleural disease
- Mediastinal and hilar masses
- Tracheal and airway abnormalities
- Complex chest disease
- Indwelling devices
Dual-energy subtraction chest radiography improves the radiologist’s ability to detect and accurately diagnose a wide variety of chest lesions.
A Picture Archival Communication System (PACS) is available for all exams performed and images can be electronically transmitted to your West Jefferson physician's office for your convenience via the Hospital Web.
Inpatient and emergency X-ray services are provided 24/7. Outpatient X-ray services are available Monday-Friday 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM and on Saturdays we accept walk-ins.
