At West Jefferson Medical Center’s Cancer Center, we offer a comprehensive cancer treatment program that may include surgery, palliative care, survivorship services, and the only radiation therapy department on the West Bank of New Orleans.

• Radiation Therapy – We offer the latest treatments in radiation therapy. This treatment involves using radiation to destroy a tumor or slow down its growth so that it can be removed through surgery.
• Oncological Surgery – If cancer has not spread to other parts of the body, it may be possible to remove the tumor through surgery and destroy lingering cancer cells with medication.
• CyberKnife Radiosurgery – The CyberKnife® Radiosurgery System is an important cancer fighting weapon that can target most cancerous or non-cancerous tumors and lesions that surgery cannot. The treatment, which delivers beams of high dose radiation to tumors with extreme accuracy, is noninvasive and has created outstanding patient outcomes.
