Wellthy Tastings September– Saints Kickin' Apple Salad

It’s officially football season which means every Sunday for the next few months will be spent watching our favorite team – the New Orleans Saints! Today, we’ll be making a Saints Kickin’ Apple Salad!
This recipe is full of plenty of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants from the rainbow of fruits we’ll be putting in it. Not only is this recipe nutritious and delicious, but it will help keep your body healthy and ready to cheer on our New Orleans Saints!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons honey
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 can mandarin oranges, canned in 100% juice (save juice)
- 2 granny smith apples, cored and diced
- 1 pint blueberries
- 1 pint strawberries, cut in half
- 1 banana, sliced
- Chopped walnuts (optional)
Directions:
- Drain juice from mandarin oranges into a separate bowl.
- In a medium sized bowl, mix the yogurt, honey, vanilla extract, and about ½ of mandarin orange juice together.
- In a larger bowl, mix all fruit and chopped walnuts.
- Pour honey vanilla dressing on fruit and combine.
- Serve and enjoy!
