West Jefferson Medical Center Receives National Pink Glove Recognition Transportation Fund begun to help patients at the WJ Cancer Center

West Jefferson Medical Center has been named to the Pink Glove Dance Hall of Fame. Medline’s Pink Glove Committee proudly honored the Medical Center this month and announced West Jefferson Medical Center has been inducted into its Pink Glove Dance Hall of Fame.
Medline commended the West Jefferson hospital family acknowledging, “Your efforts have made an extraordinary impact and we at Medline are extremely grateful.”
A recent West Jefferson Medical Center Pink Glove Dance video was lauded “As one of the first and greatest videos to be received.”
“This is very gratifying,” Vanessa Batson says. “We are proud of the doctors, staff across the organization and our patients and community for participating and supporting us in the Pink Glove dances.”
Batson, the Director of the Oncology Service Line, mentions that this year, a $2000 donation was made in conjunction with the Pink Glove Dance to fund transportation for patients with breast cancer traveling to or from oncology treatment at the Cancer Center at West Jeff. “We will deeply appreciate other donations to the new Oncology Transportation Fund to help our patients in their time of need and on the cancer journey,” she adds. Special thanks to the Rotary Club of Westwego, Louisiana, for its assistance with the Pink Glove initiative.
