Selection process
Pre-interview
The applicant’s curriculum vitae, letters of recommendation, academic records, and completed application form through PhORCAS will be carefully evaluated to determine the suitability of the candidate for an interview.
On-site interview
Interviews for Phase I of the match are on-site, and applicants should be prepared to assume the travel and lodging costs for the interview, as UMCNO does not provide compensation for the interview process. Interviews will be conducted in the months of January and February. If other arrangements are needed, the candidate must coordinate with the Residency Program Director (RPD). Lunch may be provided.
Post-interview
Candidates who completed an interview will be considered for ranking. The ASHP Resident Matching Program is used to complete and submit the final rank list. Residency positions are not offered in advance of the Resident Matching Program with the exception of Early Commitment of PGY2s. In the event of an unmatched position, UMCNO will participate in Phase II and Post Match process.
The residency start date will be communicated in the contract provided upon matching.
