United Way

We’ve got 100 reasons to give this year, in celebration of United Way’s 100th anniversary of serving our community. Giving is in our heart and soul. Every day, we give the best possible care to every person and parish in Louisiana and beyond. And our little something extra — giving to organizations who support our mission in the community. Not only do our teams support with monetary donations, but we also support with our time. Check out the photos from our 2023 Volunteer Day at Joe Brown Park in New Orleans East.

Thanks to the exceptional generosity of our incredible staff, this year's United Way Employee Giving Campaign has been a resounding success. We were able to contribute over $93,000 to the United Way of Southeast Louisiana.

We are excited announce that for the second year in a row, New Orleans East Hospital has won the Biggest Heart Award. This award recognizes the hospital with the highest employee participation rate during the United Way Giving Campaign Congrats to the New Orleans East Team!

How do I give?

Donating is easy with payroll deduction or a one-time gift. You can give through our online portal or by submitting a hard-copy form to your local HR department.

If you gave last year, thank you! Note that this donation is not renewed each year. You’ll need to give again to participate in our United Way Campaign for 2024.

What is United Way of Southeast Louisiana?

United Way fights for the health, education, and financial stability of every person in every community. It’s a special year, as the United Way is celebrating 100 years of serving our region and ensuring every child has a quality education, every family has a stable income, and all residents of our region have access to health care.

What areas does United Way serve and will my donation stay local?

United Way of Southeast Louisiana provides funding to programs, collaboratives and initiatives serving the people of Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines, St. Bernard, St. Tammany, Tangipahoa, and Washington parishes. All donations are invested back into these areas.

Why is United Way a smart investment?

Because of the unique way United Way leverages gifts, every $1 donated generates $7.67 in impact. United Way, with the help of community partners, collaboratives, advocates, coalitions, volunteers, and generous donors, generated over $93,460,476 million in community impact in 2022-23 and beyond.
