Family Connects
Family Connects New Orleans
Welcoming a newborn home is an exciting time, but it can also be challenging. Newborns don’t come with an instruction manual, so it’s normal for parents to feel uncertain or overwhelmed. That’s where Touro steps in to provide the support you need.
Family Connects New Orleans is a free program offered at Touro that brings in-home support and guidance directly to you. A highly-trained registered nurse will visit your home, answer your questions, and connect you with community resources and parenting groups to help you feel confident and supported in your parenting journey—all at no additional cost.
This program is available to all families residing in New Orleans and is part of a larger mission to combat maternal and infant mortality in Louisiana. The goals of Family Connects are simple yet powerful: to support families with newborns, strengthen connections to community resources, educate families on postpartum topics, fill the gap in access to postpartum services, and ease the burden on hospital systems. By achieving these objectives, Family Connects helps lay the foundation for a lifetime of well-being for families in our community.
