For the 31 days in October, we raise awareness for breast cancer and celebrate
the survivors! Learn about survivorship resources and programs and meet
some of our extraordinary breast cancer survivors as they share their
journeys of hope.
When do you need to get a mammogram and what type of breast screening is
right for you? Learn about the advanced diagnostic imaging Touro offers
and how you can play a proactive role in your healthcare.
No two women are the same. Their treatment plans shouldn’t be either.
At the Touro Breast Care Center, we go beyond mammograms and checkups
to provide women a collaborative and comprehensive approach to care. Our
focus on prevention, treatment, and survivorship, ensures the women in
our community receive the best care possible in a dedicated outpatient
center. From advanced technology to patient navigation and individual
care plans, Touro is setting a new standard in breast care.
Support Breast Cancer Survivors receiving treatment right here at Touro.
Through the Touro Infirmary Foundation's Cancer Care fund, programs such
as Cancer Survivor Support Groups and Cancer Survivors' Day celebrations
are funded through generous donors. Donations to the Cancer Care Fund
also helps to provide meals to patients undergoing chemotherapy, purchase
lymphedema garments for patients who cannot afford them, and other essentials
for cancer patients. Make a direct donation or start your own fundraiser
to support our patients.
Touro is celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness month with our Annual Pampered
and Pink at Audubon Zoo event on
Thursday, October 24 from 6-9 pm.
This annual Women's Health Celebration features pampering, education and
prevention information, survivor resources and fellowship, and lots of
fun! Each year over 300 women comprised of breast cancer survivors and
supporters come together to raise awareness for breast cancer and celebrate
all breast cancer survivors.
In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month, all month long our Touro employees
are going PINK. From our “Wednesdays we wear pink” to our
pink day ice cream party, our employees show their support for all our
breast cancer survivors and their support teams.
