About Dr. Culicchia
Dr. Culicchia is a second-generation neurosurgeon having followed in the footsteps and legacy of his father, Carl Culicchia M.D., who founded the Culicchia Neurological Clinic in 1961. Dr. Frank Culicchia’s work in world-renowned as he’s been recognized as a top neurosurgeon by U.S. News and World Report, and was named one of the area’s Top Doctors by New Orleans Magazine in 2020, and leads the West Jefferson neurosurgery team, which is ranked among the best in the nation by Healthgrades.
When Dr. Culicchia is not with patients, he is teaching neurosurgery residents and working with medical faculty at LSU Department of Neurosurgery. He has also served as that university’s Residency Program Director, where he implemented resident curriculum, facilitated resident conferences and meetings, and performed evaluations on those in the residency program.
