Emergency Preparedness

New Orleans East Hospital has plans in place to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.

When a tropical storm or hurricane threatens New Orleans, New Orleans East Hospital will activate its emergency plan to provide patients and their family members, staff, and physicians with up-to-date information regarding our preparations, announcements about closing and reopening the facilities and other relevant instructions.

NOEH’s hurricane plan is designed to ensure the safety of our patients and staff. In preparing our plan we have worked closely with state and local governments, the Louisiana Hospital Association, our medical staff and employees.

We have resumed normal operations as of 7am on Thursday, September 12.
