New Orleans, LA - New Orleans East Hospital is the recipient of the 2021 “Hospital of the Year (60 beds or fewer)” Nightingale Award from the Lousisiana State Nurses Association due to having clearly demonstrated concern for nursing values and recognition of registered nursing achievements within its organization.

“’The Hospital of the Year’ is a successful and special place because of its true impact to professional nursing care...Congrats to New Orleans East,” said the award presenter at the 2021 Nightingale Awards and Gala.

New Orleans East Hospital was one of three hospitals throughout the state of Louisiana recognized at this year’s virtual 2021 Nightingale Awards and Gala. In alignment with receiving this honor, nurses at these facilities are known for their participation in professional organizations and the support of these activities by their employer.

“As we near the end of a consecutively challenging year in healthcare, especially for the nursing profession, it is an incredible honor to receive this award from the Louisiana State Nurses Association,” said C.J.
