Lakeview Regional stepdown care unit nurse honored with Daisy award

Lakeview Hospital is proud to announce that Kirsten Jackson, RN in the Stepdown Care Unit was recently honored with The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. She was nominated by a family member of one of her patients who said, “She is always smiling and making my mom and I smile and laugh as well. She shared life experiences with us and even danced when my mom’s blood pressure went down. You would think she was one of the granddaughters visiting instead of a nurse. She fit right in as one of the family. She was very aware of things, and was truly compassionate of my mother’s needs.” Her patient said, “She was such a joy to see when she came into the room and always cheerful and concerned about my needs.
