About Dr. Baker
I’m a general surgeon at University Medical Center and the Assistant Professor of the Bariatric and Minimally Invasive Surgery Division at Tulane University. I earned my medical degree at Louisiana State University at Shreveport and completed both my residency and internship in General Surgery with LSU. I specialize not only in Bariatric and Metabolic Surgeries, but Laparoscopic Surgeries as well. I am certified by the American Board of Surgery.
My little something extra
I have a special interest in access to care, patient safety, and surgery mission trips. I am working with Operation New Life on mission trips to Honduras to help with advanced laparoscopic techniques.
