Your baby is dependent upon you for love, affection, care, feeding, and protection. Before the baby is born you should start learning how to care for your baby. Your doctor, the baby’s doctor, the local library, or the bookstore are places to start.
Caring for Your Newborn, a prenatal class offered by The Family Birth Place, can also help you and the baby’s father learn how to care for the baby. The basics of baby care including bathing, feeding, care of the cord, and common newborn problems are some of the topics included in this class, led by Registered Nurses.
All classes are held in the Marrero Classroom, located in the Hall of History on the first floor of West Jefferson Medical Center.
