Chris Guillot was a role model son, student, athlete, friend, and, in many eyes, a hero. In May of 2009, at the age of 17, the John Curtis Patriot was diagnosed with Metastatic Melanoma, a disease that would ultimately end his life too soon in March of 2010.
To honor his memory, the Guillot family began the Christopher Jordan Guillot Memorial Foundation with the goal of providing awareness of skin cancers in young adults.
This year, during the 8th annual Chris Guillot Memorial Golf Tournament, all money raised during the event will go towards the East Jefferson General Hospital Foundation, the fundraising arm of EJGH, to help support the fight against cancer.
The tournament will be held on Saturday, Nov. 11, at Cypress Lakes Country Club in Destrehan. Cost is $125 per person with registration at 10 a.m., lunch served at 11 a.m., and tee-off at noon. The fee covers green fees, cart, range balls, goody bag, lunch, dinner, and beverages.
Sponsorship opportunities are also available and can be made up until Nov. 6.
