The 15th Annual Golf Classic presented by Coca-Cola helped bring in over $60,000 to benefit the EJGH Foundation, the fundraising arm of East Jefferson General Hospital. The 2017 steering committee efforts were led by event co-chairs, Dr. Trey Sands and Dr. David St. Germain, Jr.
The Annual Golf Classic hosted over 100 golfers and sponsors with local fair served by Galatoire’s Restaurant, Marcello’s of Metairie, and Legacy Kitchen.
The evening concluded with an awards reception and recognition of the event’s top sponsors by EJGH Interim CEO, Dr. Raymond DeCorte.
“Thanks to Coca-Cola, ECG Management Consultants, Cerner Corporation, and Quest Diagnostics for being such generous sponsors of our golf classic that raised the funds that will continue to allow the Hospital to provide the care which has been recognized nationally as the best and safest in the State of Louisiana,” said Dr. DeCorte.
Event proceeds support The Foundation’s Inspire Grant Program, funding projects that directly impact patient care at EJGH. Since 2013, the program has given back nearly $1.5 million to help better serve the healthcare needs of this community, and the Annual Golf Classic has played a large role in that philanthropic effort.
