Susan Foret Joins the EJGH Team as Vice President, Oncology Service Line

Susan Foret, RN, BSN, MHA, has joined East Jefferson General Hospital as Vice President of its Oncology Service Line, it was announced on Tuesday.

In this role, Susan will be responsible for the strategic planning, monitoring, and overall outcomes for the oncology service line. This includes expanding patient accessibility, measuring increases in patient satisfaction and patient loyalty, setting quality and patient safety outcomes, regulating compliance, purchasing and inventory management, human resources planning, and development of new programs and services.

Foret is a National Oncology Certified Nurse with over 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry, 15 of those in various leadership roles, most recently serving as the Director of Cancer Services at Ochsner Hospital.

Foret has earned a number of awards throughout her career including the DAISY Award in 2010, Nurse of the Year at Ochsner West Bank in 2008, and a Great 100 Nurse honor in 2007.

After receiving her LPN from New Orleans Vocational Technical Institute, Foret completed her Bachelor of Science in nursing from William Carey College in New Orleans and most recently earned her Masters of Science in healthcare administration from the University of New Orleans.
