EJGH Nurse Wins LENA Nursing Practice Award

Congratulations to East Jefferson General Hospital Emergency Room nurse Tracy Tumey, who was named the Nursing Practice Award recipient by the Louisiana Emergency Nurse’s Association at the council’s annual session.

Tumey serves as an Emergency Room Charge Nurse at the hospital where he provides outstanding leadership and care to the patients he serves. With 25 years of nursing experience, Tumey delivers top-quality care and compassion each and every day.

The LENA Nursing Practice Award is one of four major accolades handed out to one nurse per year by the professional organization, honoring a caregiver who exemplifies outstanding practice as demonstrated through clinical skills, care, and compassion.
