MD Anderson Moon Shots Program Presented at EJGH

Learn more about the current state and future of cancer care at East Jefferson General Hospital on Saturday, June 11, as the hospital teams up with the MD Anderson Cancer Network to present the cutting-edge Moon Shot initiative.
The program is based on new cancer-fighting strategies to help win the fight against the disease more than ever before.
Opening presentations will be made by EJGH Chief Medical Officer Dr. Raymond DeCorte along with MD Anderson Cancer Network Vice President of Clinical Operations and Chief Quality Officer William Simione.
Breakout sessions will then be held on EJGH lung cancer screenings, the EJGH smoking cessation program, integrative medicine, and its benefits, clinical trials, and the EJGH cancer care navigator program, allowing those in attendance to interact directly with caregivers and physicians.
The MD Anderson national video conference on the Moon Shots initiative with featured speaker Joan Lunden will then be live-streamed followed by an open panel discussion on the state of cancer care with MD Anderson affiliates throughout the nation.
Registration and light refreshments will begin at 9 a.m. in the Esplanade 1 conference center with the final session ending at 1 p.m.
