Singer to drive technological advancements and growth for health system
NEW ORLEANS – LCMC Health, a leading healthcare organization committed to delivering exceptional patient care and innovative medical services, is thrilled to announce the return of one of its extraordinary leaders, David Singer, as the Chief Information Officer (CIO). Singer’s return to LCMC Health marks a significant milestone in the organization's transformative growth.
Earlier this year, Singer embarked on another journey, serving as the Vice President and CIO at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. However, his unwavering dedication and deep-rooted connection to LCMC Health led him back to the organization where he had previously contributed seven years of invaluable service. During his initial tenure, Singer played an integral role in the success of LCMC Health, steering the organization through a period of unprecedented growth and accomplishments, implementing software applications across the system with a focus on safety, quality, service, and revenue cycle excellence. Singer was also instrumental in the implementation of strategic IT programs impacting patient access, employee engagement and talent management, and other system upgrades.
In addition to these accomplishments, Singer brings a strong skillset, particularly in engaging leaders during times of change, which will undoubtedly be a cornerstone in his new role as CIO. In this capacity, he will lead the implementation and consolidation of new technology systems, with a specific focus on EPIC optimization, strategic growth, and overall IT operational excellence. As a key partner to the hospital leadership team, David will align LCMC Health's mission, vision, and values through a strong commitment to safety, quality, patient experience, and financial optimization.
“As we continue our journey towards transformative growth, David’s return promises a seamless transition and continued growth for the already formidable team,” said John Nickens, President of Hospital Services & Chief Executive of Pediatrics for LCMC Health. “His vast experience and expertise in healthcare IT will be instrumental in driving technological advancements, empowering healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care and innovative solutions to patients. We are thrilled for David’s return to the LCMC Health family.”
